Visual language for a recording Studio, reflecting on noise, calm & evening atmosphere

De Slapende Hond is a recording studio based in Amsterdam Noord. It specializes in sound design, music and voice recording. With years of experience and welcoming, relaxed interior, it forms a perfect mix of expertise, experience and atmosphere.

Reflecting the intuitive way De Slapende Hond works, comfortable interior and the name itself (EN. The Sleeping Dog), we came up with an abstract pattern that can on its own make us think of noise.

The colour scheme is one of an evening atmosphere, and retalic typeface is perhaps a bit lazy, being opposite of italic, which is often used to signify action and movement.
